These Rams were hand picked for the farm on their breed, health, and vitality.

General Lamb Information

Next Lambing is scheduled for April 2022

Pet Price: Ram lambs are $175 each. Ewe lambs are $225 each. Animal is sold WITHOUT papers and is altered if male.

Sheep must be bought in pairs unless you have other pet sheep at home.

Bottle raised babies must be picked up between 4 and 6 weeks of age.

Bottle babies come with bottle, formula recipe, and feeding instructions.

All lambs come with a booklet of information needed to care for sheep.

We require a $75 non-refundable deposit to reserve a lamb.
Ram - Knox
Ram - Knox - 2 years old (Knox will be up for sale in Spring of 2025). Knox is a full breed St. Croix sheep
The St. Croix is a North American sheep breed that’s part of the Caribbean Hair sheep family. Hair sheep likely came from West Africa in the 1500s, brought along as a food source on slave ships. St. Croix were developed when these West African hair sheep were crossed with a few European wool-sheep breeds that were brought to the Caribbean beginning in the 1600s. The sheep proliferated as subsistence livestock and were also valued for their manure which was critical to sugar cane production.
General Information

Onion Creek Sheep Farm only raises grass fed American lambs. We offer a cross bred lamb or production sheep. I choose a ram each year considering any attributes I want to introduce to my herd. St. Croix are known for a strong parasite resistance and hearty hooves. They are a manageable size, and I am excited to see what our lambs are like this year.

Our sheep are raised on site with continuous access to fresh air, fresh water, fresh grass or hay, & safe shelter. Our herd is protected by our livestock guardian dogs, Zeus and Otis.

You can purchase a whole lamb, 1/2 lamb, 1/4 lamb or selected cuts.

Whole lambs can be picked up and taken to your choice of local processor. You can also arrange to have your lamb butchered on site with special permission.

We do not deliver, please setup a pickup from your side.

Rams are sold first come first serve.
